Serendipity

She was dainty in body but bold in Spirit. Our beautiful little Pomeranian friend, Seren, passed away after a brief illness June 11, 2008. She was a true joy and we will miss her greatly as she goes on to her final journey. We look forward to the day when we are reunited with those that we loved in this life. Until then...take care, little Seren, and may God keep you well and in His tender care.
June 11, 2010. It has been two years since we said our goodbyes.
You are not forgotten...
Grover "the Spaniard"

It is with saddened hearts that we bid our friend Grover goodbye. Grover passed away October 2009. Grover was a wonderful companion. He was midwife to the pregnant Bengals...although we still don't know why. He worked to keep peace with the feuding Pomeranians. He always made us laugh with delight over the strength of his character. Grover will be fondly remembered until we meet again. Only God could create a character in a feline friend like He did in Grover. Now, play with Seren, Monteleone and Mudpie until we all meet again!
DiCaprio Louisiana Mudpie

"Mudpie" was a beaufitul Brown Marble Tabby Bengal girl that was born to DiCaprio Cattery. She was a Show quality girl that had a wonderful pattern and the most exquisite texture to her coat. Playful, sociable and always nearby to lend a Bengal hand at whatever we were doing. Mudpie produced one litter of five kittens for us and was retired as a very young adult to be a loved pet.
The story of Mudpie is one that we should all learn from. Mudpie was adopted to a family that lived regionally to us for nothing more than the price of neutering. Several months after receiving this wonderful girl, her adopted family decided that it would be a good idea to have her declawed. Unfortunately, Mudpie did not survive the procedure.
DiCaprio Cattery does not approve of or endorse the surgical procedure of declawing felines. We are very vocal in letting prospective adopting persons know that we do not approve of this procedure and we will not place a feline in a home if we feel that this will happen to any adopted kitty. This wonderful kitty that we loved and entrusted her care to others was lost in a tragic surgery gone awry. We strongly urge any and all who would read this to not subject your loved pets to this type of procedure. At best with this surgery, you will have a feline with mutilated paws. At worst, your loved companion might not survive the prodedure at all...such as Mudpie.
We will miss Mudpie and hope that she is safe with Monteleone until we all meet again :-)
